Tom & Jen Broyles
Lead Pastor and wife
I’ve been in full time ministry for 15 years with the Assemblies of God.  I’ve had the joy of serving the body of Christ in multiple ways; young adult pastor, youth pastor, drama & creative ministry, and now as a lead pastor.  Jen and I have been married 18 years and have 3 beautiful children; Callie, Ian, and Brielle.  It’s a blessing to be a part of such an amazing community and church!
Matt Mummert
Youth Pastor
I have been involved in youth ministry for over ten years, as I strive for the Lord’s calling on my life. I was called to be a youth pastor when I was in high school myself. Since that time, I’ve continuously served in youth ministry and received a degree in Church Ministries from Evangel University. I look forward to playing a small role in the students lives as they grow their relationship with God.

These three statements focus our mission here at Connection Church.  Our greatest purpose in life is to establish love for God.  If we try to add anything else to our life without that foundation we’re in for a collapse.  Once that happens we can begin living our purpose as Christ followers and start loving people around us.  This is a lifelong process and takes continual growth and maturity in Christ.  The last part of our mission is to serve the World.  Christ didn’t come to be served but to serve others with grace and truth.  We’ve been called to do the same and show our world the love of Christ not just with our words but with our actions.
No life is beyond the reach of God’s love and grace.  Christ loved us enough to die on the cross for us; His grace is enough to cover all our sin and shortcomings; and His joy is our strength.  Our response to that reality is wholehearted praise for our Risen Savior Jesus Christ!
ABOUT GOD – God is the creator of all things, seen and unseen. God is eternal and good, knowing all things and holding all power. God exists as the Trinity. He is three persons, yet one God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  God desires a relationship with us and his love towards us is unending.  As we journey through life, God is constantly leading those willing to follow Him.
ABOUT JESUS – God displayed himself in human form through his son, Jesus Christ. Jesus was born of the virgin, Mary, and lived a sinless life. Displaying his commitment to God and us, he died on the cross for our sins. Jesus Christ was then buried, resurrected from the dead, and ascended into heaven.

About the Holy Spirit – The Holy Spirit is given to all who believe in Jesus Christ as their savior.  However, after salvation there is another baptism in the Holy Spirit which all believers are given access to and should pursue.    The Holy Spirit gives each follower diverse gifts, fostering unity, interdependence, productivity, Christ-like character and love among Christians. The Holy Spirit also teaches, comforts and empowers in our faith.

About the Bible – We believe God speaks to us through the Bible.  The Bible is our standard in all we say and do. We believe that God’s unchangeable Biblical message ought to be presented in a relevant way portraying a real hope, to real people through a real God.

About Salvation – All people are created with dignity and value in the image of God. Salvation comes to people on the basis of God’s grace and compassion, through their faith in Jesus. They receive the free gift of forgiveness and are spiritually reborn by repenting of their sin and believing in Jesus Christ. The natural outflow of a life saved by Jesus will a life lived for Jesus, seeking to please him in with mind, body, and spirit.

Assemblies of God

Connection Church is a part of the Assemblies of God fellowship.  This means that even though we are self-governing
we commit to the same 16 Fundamental Truths.  To view these please follow this link to the national Assemblies of God website.

Worship The Lord In Giving

We give as an act of worship. We ask big, pray big, and expect big things to come out of a people that live and give with Kingdom mentality. Jesus is King over our finances and places us as stewards over His income. We give back to launch new Kingdom opportunities for the Gospel to reach to ends of the earth.
